To The Kind Attention of Agarbatti and Allied Product Manufacturers.

The cost of producing agarbatti and related products including electricity charges, transportation, and raw material prices-has been steadily increasing. Due to the lack of a minimum base price per kilogram for the agarbatti we manufacture, many manufacturers are continuously facing losses. Our production cost, including raw material prices, exceeds 20 per kilogram. Additionally, we need a minimum profit margin to sustain our business. However, brand owners and scented agarbatti companies, who purchase raw agarbatti from us and add fragrance, are pressuring us to sell at prices lower than our actual cost. This has led to significant losses, forcing many manufacturers to shut down their businesses. To address this issue and ensure a fair price, we are pleased to announce the formation and registration of the “Tamil Nadu Agarbatti and Allied Product Manufacturers Association”
